I just realized of a way that the MCU and SSU could connect together…

So. MCU Spider-Man, am I right? He's been quite the controversial character over the years since his first appearence in Civil War. One of his main controversy (atleast back in the day) was that we didn't see his origin story like the other 2 before him.

Around the same time as the MCU Spidey's introduction, we had gotten two movies related around the webhead, Venom and Into The Spider-Verse. In Into The Spider-Verse, we saw Miles get bitten by a spider from another dimension, meaning the other dimension a.k.a Earth-42 didn't get a Spider-Man (all of this was later confirmed in Across The Spider-Verse).

Now, tell me another universe that doesn't have a Spider-Man of it's own? That's right, the SSU. We got his villains, but no Spider-Man in sight (Peter's Spider-Man that is). In the end credits of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, we see Venom pop up in the MCU and he instantely hates Spider-Man by only looking at him. Why?

But that doesn't stop here with the connections of MCU/SSU. In the end credit scene of Morbius, Vulture pops up in the SSU and believe he's there because of Spider-Man. Again, why?

Why did those two moments happen? For Vulture, it's a bit more or less unsure but with Venom, there's one simple reason that I believe would make the most sense: MCU Spider-Man is meant to be his Spider-Man…Sort of. What i'm truly getting at is:

the spider that gave Spider-Man his powers in the MCU wasn't from the MCU, but from the SSU.

Let me explain why I believe this is the case.

Exhibition A: Miguel hates "the little nerd".

In Miguel's introduction scene from Across The Spider-Verse, Miguel says "don't even get me started on Dr. Strange and the little nerd […]". His anger on Dr. Strange makes sense because he's the reason why the events of No Way Home happened…But why does he hate MCU Peter? Aside from being an associate with Strange's plan in NWH, Miguel has no real reason to hate him. Wanna know another character he hates? Miles. Why? Because he was never meant to be Spider-Man and another universe is without a Spider-Man because of that mix-up. The same thing seems to be extremely likely with the SSU since it doesn't have it's Spider-Man. I truly believe that Miguel hates MCU Pete for the same reasons as Miles. There's no real canon reason for Miguel to despise MCU Peter, as I said before, it was Strange that made NWH happen.

Exhibition B: The recent rumours for Spider-Man 4.

There's been alot of Spider-Man 4 rumours these past few weeks. Some say "Kingpin will be mayor of NYC", "Ant-Man will be part of the movie with Daredevil", "The movie will be street-level", etc. But one caught my attention out of all the rumours.

"The SSU will collide in the MCU in Spider-Man 4". With the past connections that I mentionned before, this makes some sort of sense. I mean, why else would Vulture be in the SSU? Surely, it's to lead up to something along those lines. Maybe his incursion in the SSU is what leads to collision of both worlds. There's also been a rumour they'll recton Morbius end credit scene with Vulture, but this seems like a more interesting route to take for both universes.

Exhibition C: Venom appearing in the MCU

Like we all know, Venom was originally meant to have a pretty big role in NWH. He was going to save Tobey's Spider-Man after Gobby stabbed him and he was going to connect with MCU Spider-Man during the final battle. But none of those moments happened in the final cut. One thing that did happen however: some of the symbiote got left behind in the MCU. Like Dr. Strange 2 confirmed to us, if a person from another world stays in a world that isn't his, both worlds of the incursion and the world he's in will collide. With Vulture in the SSU and the symbiote in the MCU, it's not a far fetched idea to believe the worlds will collide, which all connects my previous point aswell. All pieces seem to be there to confirm that the spider that bit the MCU's Spider-Man was never meant to be there. Or else, why would any of the previous point be happening?

The SSU may have been extremely wonky with it's executions of the multiversal side, but thanks to the NWH and the Spider-Verse movies, everything seems to be falling in place for my theory to be true. But, at the end of the day, it's just a theory…

You thought I was going to make the meme, huh?

I would like Sony to keep their non-Peter Parker (Tom Holland) shenanigans sequestered in their own multiverse.

Just because they could doesn’t mean they should.

I’ve been picturing the multiverse as the Yggdrasil tree from Loki and the ‘Spider-Verse’ as a web in the branches of the tree that only connects the universes that have a Spider-Man.

I actually would NOT be surprised if we see multiple ‘universes’ fall to incursions and have their heroes end up in the void to set up Secret Wars (my current bets are that DP3, whatever Avengers film replaces TKD, and Venom 3 will all have this in at least a credit scene).

Id prefer to keep the SSU as far away from the MCU as possible. Even with the recent lackluster success its had the MCU is still 1000 times better than anything in the SSU.

I think that Venom 3 will be the final SSU movie before being integrated into the MCU. My guess is that we will see the fall of the SSU. It involves the TVA evacuating the Sony universe and Venom is approached, but he has unfinished business to take care of with Toxin, Scream, and probably Knull. Knull is aware of the incoming incursion and will try to take the symbiotes with him.

I think Kraven will have reshoots to add the TVA into a credits scene, leading directly into Venom 3.

I think we’ll also see the Yggdrasil tree in Madame Web in some form.

I just think it’s interesting that Sony doesn’t currently have any non-Spider-Verse movies scheduled beyond 2024 (El Muerto most definitely ain’t happening, we were so close to a new tomorrow)

Venom is connected the to symbiote hive mind thats why he immediately licks his chops at spiderman. That symbiote hivemind is multiversal. He’s connected to them all
