Marvel Studios released the official final cast roster for Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 31, 2026) — and the lineup is the most-stacked Spider-Man cast in franchise history. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal (the Punisher), Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando (Scorpion), Charlie Cox (Daredevil), and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk/Banner) are all confirmed.

Marvel Studios released the official Spider-Man: Brand New Day cast roster overnight. The cast confirmation — coming nine weeks before SDCC 2026 — is unprecedented for a Spider-Man theatrical release. Industry observers interpret the early reveal as Marvel's signal that the slate is locked.

The full confirmed cast: Tom Holland (Peter Parker / Spider-Man), Zendaya (MJ), Jacob Batalon (Ned), Charlie Cox (Daredevil / Matt Murdock), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner / Hulk — new mentor), Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle / Punisher), Tramell Tillman (unnamed role, rumored Lt. Yuri Watanabe), Michael Mando (Mac Gargan / Scorpion — returning from Homecoming (2017)), Sadie Sink (unnamed role, theorized as Phoenix-arc setup), and Liza Colón-Zayas (unnamed role).

Frank Castle / Punisher's MCU integration. Jon Bernthal's Punisher has been a Disney+-exclusive character since the Netflix Daredevil series (2015-2018) and his subsequent solo Disney+ series in 2026. His theatrical-MCU debut in Brand New Day was widely cited as one of the year's most-significant character-integration milestones. Bernthal's role is reportedly as an anti-hero foil to Peter Parker's post-Snap moral isolation.

Michael Mando's Scorpion finally pays off. Mac Gargan was seeded for Scorpion in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)'s post-credits scene — promising that he would return as a major villain. The setup has been pending for nearly a decade. Brand New Day finally delivers on the Scorpion arc with Mando's confirmed appearance.

Charlie Cox + Mark Ruffalo create the mentor-team setup. The combination of Cox's Daredevil and Ruffalo's Hulk gives Peter Parker two seasoned-superhero mentors for his post-Snap, post-No-Way-Home arc. The mentor team is widely seen as the franchise's most-deliberate character rebuild — replacing Tony Stark's vacant role with a different kind of mentor structure.

The marketing strategy. Marvel's pre-SDCC cast confirmation reflects confidence in the slate's commercial reception. The studio no longer needs the SDCC stage for cast reveals because audiences are locked in. The final trailer is expected to drop in mid-June.
