Terms of Service

Last updated:

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing and using Movies on Comics (the "Site"), located at https://moviesoncomics.com, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days.

2. Use of the Site

The Site is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of others. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Use any automated system (scraper, bot, spider) to access the Site, except for legitimate search-engine crawlers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, server, or related infrastructure
  • Reproduce, republish, or distribute Site content in commercial publications without our written permission
  • Use the Site to upload, transmit, or distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful code
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Site's normal operation

3. Editorial content

All editorial content on the Site — plot summaries, character analyses, rankings, opinions, trivia, and news commentary — is written by our editorial team and represents our independent point of view. It is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, but we do not warrant that all factual claims are error-free. Comic-book continuity, release dates, and production details can change between publication and the time of reading. If you spot a factual error, please contact us.

Reviews, rankings, and editorial opinions are subjective and do not constitute professional advice. They are not endorsements of any product, service, studio, or person.

4. Intellectual property — our content

All original editorial content on the Site — including written plot summaries, character profiles, news posts, rankings, and editorial commentary — is the copyright of Movies on Comics unless otherwise noted. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access the content for personal, non-commercial reading. You may share short excerpts (a few sentences) with attribution and a link back to the source page.

You may not reproduce, republish, scrape, or repackage Site content in bulk without our prior written permission. Commercial use of any kind — including AI training datasets — requires a licensing agreement.

5. Intellectual property — third-party content

Comic-book character names, film titles, and franchise marks (Marvel, DC, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, X-Men, Iron Man, etc.) are trademarks of their respective owners — including but not limited to The Walt Disney Company, Marvel Entertainment LLC, Warner Bros. Discovery, DC Entertainment, Sony Pictures Entertainment, 20th Century Studios, and Universal Pictures. We use these marks for editorial, descriptive, and identification purposes only, under nominative fair use.

Movies on Comics is an independent editorial publication. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Marvel, DC, Disney, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, or any other studio or rights-holder named on the Site.

Where the Site references factual information about a film (cast, crew, release date, runtime) we draw from public sources. Where third-party content is quoted, it is used under fair-use principles for purposes of criticism, commentary, news reporting, or scholarship.

6. Affiliate disclosure

The Site participates in affiliate-marketing programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. We may receive commissions on purchases made through affiliate links on the Site. Affiliate participation does not affect editorial coverage or rankings.

7. Advertising disclosure

The Site displays advertising served by Google AdSense and may, in the future, display ads from other ad networks. Advertisements are clearly distinguishable from editorial content. We do not endorse any product or service advertised on the Site. Inclusion of an ad does not represent a recommendation.

8. External links

The Site contains links to external third-party websites operated by entities other than Movies on Comics. We have no control over the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of those sites. Inclusion of an external link does not constitute endorsement. Your access to and use of any external site is at your own risk and subject to that site's terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MOVIES ON COMICS, ITS OPERATORS, EDITORS, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100.00).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Movies on Comics and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that location.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
