Secret Wars theory. Doctor Strange is…

….the “Molecule Man” of the story (comparing it to the comics series in 2015). In the comics, Molecule Man variants ultimately caused the destruction of each universe they occupied – and so Doctor Doom went about hunting them down.

In the MCU, absolutely every version of Stephen Strange we’ve seen has caused an incursion. 838 Illuminati Strange we learned caused one and was executed. "What If" Strange did. The Doctor Strange that America Chavez knew did, and then in the post-credits scene of MoM we learned from Clea that our 616 Doctor Strange did too. It seems inevitable!

So who’s going to run around and collect all the Stranges if not Doom? Maybe Kang? The TVA or Loki? Any ideas on this?

Either him or Wanda. “Destined to save or destroy the multiverse”

I really dig this theory. Like others have said, Wanda would be a good choice too. However from the audience’s perspective, Dr Strange has always been a “good guy,” but we have watched Wanda act as a “villian” before. Watching Dr Strange realize he is the cause of inevitable destruction and trying to figure out what to do about it would be a great movie

I’ve also had the sneaking suspicion Strange is gonna be the villain. He was acting quite out of character in both NWH and MOM

I’d put money on Wanda before strange.

I feel like it will be Wanda instead, and Stephen would replace Reed Richards

Fair theory, but that’s not his character direction at the moment. “It’s not about you Stephen”

Strange isn’t the one holding the knife at the end. I think Wanda is more likely the Molecule Man type figure, with Loki playing more of the post Secret Wars Reed Richard’s role.

Dr Strange’s third act seems to be assembling a team. Not to go it alone, to be the leader… that seems to be a fair way to take his character.

A mcu secret wars does not require a molecule man to work. Just a beyonder or character with that level of power to create the situation. Though I like the idea of just adding in the molecule man and acting like it’s completely normal, reshooting scenes to make it seem like he was there the whole time, but we as the audience know it’s not true. So the heroes and villains have to find out why the beyonders placed him there.

I wouldn’t read too much into their roles. His role in Infinity Gauntlet was way different than the movie.

I think it’ll be America. She’s the only character with built-in multiverse powers

Likely Wanda being Molecule Man and Kang being Kang Prime or the Beyonder.
